Lori Gonzalez

Text of your BIO goes here……Lori has worked at DVIS since 2002.  She began her career in the Sapulpa office as a counselor and advocate.  When DVIS and Call Rape merged a couple of years later, she moved to the outpatient office in Tulsa to work with sexual assault survivors.  In 2006, she took over the coordinating and supervision of clinical interns.  After spending years in the outpatient office, Lori took a position as an outreach counselor which offered the opportunity to work with survivors on college campuses as well as the jail and juvenile detention center.  In 2020 she was asked to take over leadership of the Sexual Assault program and in 2022 she moved into the position of VP of Advocacy Services.

 

Lori is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and supervisor.  She has extensive training in issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking.  In addition, she has extensive training in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

This has resulted in working with the District Attorney’s office as well as the Federal Prosecutor’s office as an expert witness.
