I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Graduated from Tulsa East Central High School. Obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. I then went on to Oklahoma State University Center for Health Science, where I graduated in 2010 with my D.O.. I completed residency training with OSU Family Medicine in Tulsa. After completing residency, I worked for the Cherokee Nation Health Services at W.W. Hastings in Tahlequah, Oklahoma for four years. During my time with the Primary Care Clinic at Hastings, I was able to start in academic medicine through working with family medicine residents and starting a OMM clinic for that program. Following that, I accepted a position with Harvard Family Physicians, where I worked until the call to return to teaching brought me back to OSU. With OSU, I am currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and the Director of Osteopathic Education for the OSU and OMECO Family Medicine Residency Programs.
