Dr. Fugate is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, where she also serves as Director of Pediatric Clinical Research. Board certified in both general pediatrics and obesity medicine, she completed her residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center after earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Fugate is a nationally recognized leader in pediatric obesity care and education, serving as project lead for the Pediatric Obesity Medicine ECHO and contributing to the Obesity Medicine Education Collaborative. She holds the George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair of Pediatrics and has received multiple honors, including the Regents Distinguished Teaching and Research Awards. Her prolific scholarly work includes numerous publications on obesity management, vaccine safety, and health systems research. Dr. Fugate remains active in national committees and editorial boards, advancing medical education and public health initiatives.
