Aric J. Warren, PhD, ATC, LAT, CSCS, CES, TSAC-F

Aric Warren is a Professor of Athletic Training in the School of Allied Health at the OSU Center for Health Sciences.  While at OSU he has served as the Director of the Athletic Training education program, Coordinator of Health and Human Performance, and the Head of the School of Applied Health and Educational Psychology.  He currently has an appointment with the OSU Center for Health Sciences teaching in the Master of Athletic Training program and serves clinically in the OSU department of Athletics.  Aric also instructs various topics in the OSU Osteopathic Medicine and Physician Assistant programs and is also a clinical member of the USA Track & Field, USA Wrestling, and USA Volleyball volunteer Sports Medicine staffs providing athletic health care at local and international competitions for USA athletes.   He leads professional development education workshops and seminars across the country in the topics of Blood Flow Restriction therapy and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization.  As a researcher, he has explored the efficacy of manual therapies in the treatment of musculoskeletal dysfunction. His recent work has explored alterations in musculotendinous stiffness, perfusion, and the architectural changes in soft tissue in response to manual therapies.  He currently serves as the Chair for Educational  Resources Committee in the NATA Research & Education Foundation and is the Secretary and Board of Director member of District 5 MAATA.  He was awarded the NATA Service Award (2013) and the NATA Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award (2020).   He earned his Doctorate from DePaul University, and holds a Master of Science degree from Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Nebraska-Kearney.
