Dr. Deshpande is a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and founder of Swapna Live Well, LLC. She formerly held the Rainbolt Family Chair in Child Psychiatry and served as Program Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Indira Gandhi Medical College and completed psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland–Sheppard Pratt Program, followed by fellowship training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. A Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Deshpande has received multiple honors, including the Gordon H. Deckert Award for Sustained Excellence and several teaching awards. Her scholarship includes peer-reviewed publications on suicide prevention, digital media impact on youth, and child trauma. She currently serves as President of the Oklahoma Council for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and remains active in national committees of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
