Gayle Black, BSN, RN graduated from Oklahoma City University with her Bachelor of Nursing in May of 2016. She has been the School Health Coordinator since September 2018. She began working for OSDH in September 2005 as a Public Health Nurse. Some of her time at OSDH has been spent being a Public Health Nurse assigned to the school setting, she also served 5 years as the Coordinating Nurse for Canadian and Kingfisher Counties. Her nursing career began in Hobbs, New Mexico in 1996 upon receiving her LPN license. She completed the RN program at New Mexico Junior College in 1998, receiving AAS. Prior to moving to Oklahoma, she served 2 ½ years as a public health nurse for the New Mexico Department of Health, in Lea County. Gayle has been married to her husband David for 32 years with both always being active in their community. They are proud parents of son Taylor who is married to Kristin and son Trace who is engaged to Sarajane. As well as being the proud grandparents of Emelynn DeAnn.
