Dr. Karnama is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State University and an Interventional Cardiologist at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, OK.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University and completed his internship and Internal Medicine residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He then pursued fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Oklahoma State University Medical Center.

Board-certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, and Internal Medicine, Dr. Karnama specializes in complex cardiovascular interventions and cardiac imaging.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has served in multiple leadership roles, including Chief of Staff and Board of Trustees member at Hillcrest Hospital Claremore.

His research background includes studies in cardiovascular quality and DNA fingerprinting of infectious organisms.
