David Gearhart
Dr. David Gearhart is a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and serves as the Medical Director and Chair of the Emergency Department at Oklahoma State University Medical Center. He completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Oklahoma State University, followed by an Emergency Medicine residency at Integris Southwest Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident.
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Gearhart has held numerous leadership roles, including Medical Director for multiple EMS agencies and the OSU Medical Center Stroke Program.
He is actively involved in medical education, serving as core faculty for the emergency medicine residency program. His research focuses on emergency medicine operations, toxicology, and patient safety, with recent publications in The American Journal of Emergency Medicine and Wilderness & Environmental Medicine.
A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Gearhart continues to advance emergency medicine through research, clinical leadership, and academic excellence.
