Overview

During this unique OMM course you will review diagnosis and treatment of neck pain with indirect techniques including counterstrain and myofascial release being performed on a patient model. This course was captured with multiple camera angles and the presentation slide show built right into the video.

 

To receive CME credit for this course, you will need to review the presentation, answer the required attestation, and complete the course evaluation.  Upon completion of the evaluation, your credit certificate and transcript will immediately be available.



Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand the etiology, physical exam considerations, and treatment options for neck pain from an osteopathic perspective
  2. Diagnose and treat neck pain with indirect techniques including counterstrain and myofascial release
  3. Diagnose and treat neck with direct techniques including soft tissue, muscle energy and HVLA
  4. Demonstrate additional alternative treatment options including home exercises

AOA Credit

The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-B credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

AAFP Credit

Activities approved by the American Osteopathic Association are acceptable as AAFP Elective Credit. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
