Overview
This course will provide pediatric mental health continuing professional education in an integrated environment to disseminate best practices and improve access to care for Oklahoma’s children and families.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Provide pediatric mental health continuing professional education in an integrated environment to disseminate best practices and improve access to care for Oklahoma’s children and families.
  2. Educate participants on new Child psychiatry consultative program (OKCAPMAP) and increase OKCAPMAP participation and utilization.
  3. Increase collaboration between the behavioral health and primary care communities.

AOA Credit
The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 6 AOA Category 1-A credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

AAFP Credit

The AAFP has reviewed Bridging the Gap in Pediatric Mental Health Care, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 04/28/2023 to 04/28/2023. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This session, Bridging the Gap in Pediatric Mental Health Care, is approved for 6 AAFP Prescribed credits. 

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.

MATE Act - DEA
The lecture, Substance Use Disorders: Short Brief Intervention & Referral to Treatment meets the new Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requirements from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for training on substance use disorders. Providers planning to receive or renew their DEA registration can earn 1 hour towards their 8 hour MATE requirement by participating.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received at least 72 hours prior to the conference will receive a refund less a $50 cancellation fee. After 72 hours before the conference begins no refunds will be granted for cancellations. If you wish to cancel and request a refund in accordance with the above Cancellation/Refund policy, send an email to our office.

The OKCAPMAP and OSU-CME reserve the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable airline tickets or hotel penalties.

*No refunds and no credits will be granted for "No-Shows" to the Conference.
