Join us for this live stream proper prescribing lecture presented by Kelly Dunn, M.D.  During this hour we will explore the history of opioid use and the need for responsible prescribing.

This program is pending approval by the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.

AOA Credit
The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

 

This program qualifies for AOA Category 1-A credit under an exemption approved by the “Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the American Osteopathic Association.”

MATE Act - DEA
This CME/CE opportunity meets the new Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requirements from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for training on substance use disorders. Providers planning to receive or renew their DEA registration can earn 1 hour towards their 8 hour MATE requirement by participating.

This program meets the requirements for approval of (1) hour of CME credit by the Oklahoma State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.


Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision (Allopathic Physicians and Physician Assistants)

This educational activity meets the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure & Supervision annual licensure renewal requirement for 1 hour of education in pain management or 1 hour of education in opioid use or addiction.

Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy

This Program has been evaluated and is approved for 1 hours of CE credit. 

Oklahoma Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners (Veterinarians)

This program meets the requirements for approval of (1) hour of CME credit by the Oklahoma Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners. 


AAFP Credit

The AAFP has reviewed 2024 Proper Prescribing, and deemed it acceptable for AAFP credit. Term of approval is from 02/29/2024 to 06/27/2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This session Proper Prescribing is approved for 1, live, AAFP Prescribed credits.

AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
