Gain expert knowledge in a virtual learning network with a collaboration of the Cherokee Nation Health Services and Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences ECHO team. The curriculum is designed to increase primary care provider knowledge, skills, and self-efficacy in the prevention, screening, evaluation, and treatment of hepatitis C.

1. Recall and summarize the key risk factors associated with hepatitis C infection and comorbid conditions such as substance use disorder, behavioral health problems and sexually transmitted diseases (HBV, HIV).
2. Develop a comprehensive treatment plan for a patient diagnosed with hepatitis C, considering individual patient characteristics and the latest evidence-based guidelines.
3. Explain the diagnostic methods used in the identification of hepatitis C

AOA Credit

The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 1.00 AOA Category 1-A credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

This program qualifies for AOA Category 1-A credit under an exemption approved by the “Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the American Osteopathic Association".
