Overview
The Veteran Care ECHO curriculum is designed for health professionals who want to learn how to support and better care for Veterans. Through the Project ECHO virtual platform, participants learn about military experiences and the impact on a Veteran’s physical and mental health.

ACCME Objectives
  1. Have an increased understanding of the value of cultural awareness when treating Veterans.
  2. Utilize best practices in Veteran-care for non-VA providers in rural communities.
  3. Have a better understanding on how to integrate Veteran-care into non-VA practice.

AOA Objectives
  1. Have an increased understanding of the value of cultural awareness when treating Veterans.
  2. Utilize best practices in Veteran-care for non-VA providers in rural communities.

Accreditation

AOA Credit

The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

This program qualifies for AOA Category 1-A credit under an exemption approved by the “Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the American Osteopathic Association".
