Hypertension Management ECHO - 2024

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), AOA Category 1-A (1.00 hours), General Attendance (1.00 hours), OK State Board of LSW (1.00 hours), Oklahoma State Board of Psychology (1.00 hours)

The Hypertension ECHO will improve blood pressure control and optimize outcomes for patients with hypertension in urban and rural areas by empowering and supporting health care teams to implement interdisciplinary approaches to care, use evidence-based knowledge to treat patients with hypertension, and work collaboratively with individuals, teams, and patients in their own community.

1. Demonstrate what hypertension is, including classifications and stages
2. Describe guidelines and recommendations including diagnosis, pharmacologic treatments, treatment goals, monitoring, and follow up.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of resistant hypertension including evaluation and management of resistant hypertension.

AOA Credit

The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 1.00 AOA Category 1-A credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

This program qualifies for AOA Category 1-A credit under an exemption approved by the “Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the American Osteopathic Association".
