The STRIDE symposium brings together experts in rural and indigenous health care. The conference goals are to examine the long-standing health care disparities and inequities that continue to face individuals who live in rural and/or indigenous communities. The program will explore sources of systemic inequities, economic disadvantages, and environmental exposures that prevent individuals and their communities from achieving optimal health, leading to differences in health outcomes.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand long-standing health care disparities and inequities that continue to face individuals who are American Indian/Alaskan native or live in rural communities.
  2. Explore systemic inequities, economic disadvantages, and environmental exposures that prevent individuals and their communities from achieving optimal health, leading to differences in health outcomes.
  3. Understand the role of patient and community perspective, values and resources in the delivery of high quality health care.

MATE Act - DEA
The lecture, Proper Prescribing - The Appropriate Management of Opioid Therapy meets the new Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requirements from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for training on substance use disorders. Providers planning to receive or renew their DEA registration can earn 1 hour towards their 8 hour MATE requirement by participating.

You may cancel your registration up to and including the day prior to the first day of the conference and you will receive a refund less a $50 cancellation fee. Once the conference has begun no refunds will be granted for cancellations. If you wish to cancel and request a refund in accordance with the above Cancellation/Refund policy, send an email to [email protected]

OSU-CME reserves the right to cancel or postpone this program if necessary; in the event of cancellation, course fees will be fully refunded.
