Overview

Join us for this live stream proper prescribing lecture presented by Natasha Bray, DO During this hour we will explore the history of opioid use and the need for responsible prescribing.

 It is highly recommended that you pair your mobile number to your account prior to the session. During the session you will be provided with a session ID to text in your attendance.

Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1. Understand the historical context and current statistics surrounding the opioid epidemic and prescribing patterns. ?

2. Analyze the importance of assessing and treating acute, subacute, and chronic pain independently of opioid use.?

3. Evaluate the necessity of offering or arranging treatment with evidence-based medications for patients with OUD.?

4. Create strategies for tapering or discontinuing opioids in patients who have used them long-term.?

5. Understand Okla. Senate Bills 1446 & 848.?
