Overview

The Veteran Care ECHO curriculum is designed for health professionals who want to learn how to support and better care for Veterans. Through the Project ECHO virtual platform, participants learn about military experiences and the impact on a Veteran’s physical and mental health.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify key aspects of military culture and their potential impact on veteran’s health behaviors and attitudes.
  2. Describe challenges unique to rural veterans and how best practices can mitigate those challenges.
  3. Explain the importance of collaboration with VA resources and community organizations in enhancing veteran care.

Accreditation

AOA Credit
The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.
