Get expert knowledge in a virtual learning network with Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences providers. Curriculum is designed to expand expertise in assessing and treating emotional and behavioral health conditions in primary care and school settings for ages 0 to 18.

1. Understand why early experiences lay the foundation of health development and provide opportunities for prevention, early detection and treatment.
2. Analyze data that shows 21% of children and adolescents in the U.S. meet diagnostic criteria for a mental health disorder with impaired functioning.
3. Discuss the 2nd leading cause of death in Oklahoma for children ages for children ages 11-18, which is suicide.
4. Understand why 75-80 % of children and youth in need of mental health services do not receive them.

The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.

The Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
