Overview

The presentations from our original 2021 Update in Addiction Medicine conference are now available as an enduring material package of 4 AOA Category 1B credits!

To receive CME credit for this package, you will need to review all presentations, answer the required attestation, and complete the overall package evaluation.  Upon completion of the evaluation, your credit certificate and transcript will immediately be available.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Understand the current methamphetamine epidemic.
  2. Describe the association between sleep and recovery from use disorders.
  3. Understand how opioid use disorder treatment is selected.

Accreditation
AOA Credit
The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine designates this program for a maximum of 4 AOA Category 1-B credit(s), and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

AAFP Credit
Activities approved by the American Osteopathic Association are acceptable as AAFP Elective Credit. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

MATE Act - DEA
The 2021 Update in Addiction Medicine - Enduring Package meets the new Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act requirements from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for training on substance use disorders. Providers planning to receive or renew their DEA registration can earn 4 hour towards their 8 hour MATE requirement by participating.
