Overview

In this training, primary care providers will learn the basics of anxiety recognition, assessment, and treatment in children and adolescents through asynchronous learning.  A case example will be presented to provide PCPs with a template of language and process when presented with a patient with anxiety symptoms.



Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Know the symptoms of anxiety in children and adolescents.
  2. Learn evidence-based assessment process when evaluating for anxiety in children and adolescents.
  3. Describe the evidence-based treatments of anxiety in children and adolescents.
  4. Compare interviewing strategies for effectiveness in gathering accurate information in the clinic.
