Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Explain the foundational principles of artificial intelligence, including machine learning and natural language processing, and their current and emerging applications across various medical specialties.
  2. Evaluate the clinical validity, utility, and potential limitations of AI tools in diagnostic support, treatment planning, and patient monitoring through evidence based frameworks.
  3. Analyze the ethical and legal implications of AI in medicine, including concerns about bias, patient privacy, accountability, and informed consent, with attention to maintaining professional integrity and patient trust.
  4. Apply the osteopathic principle of holistic, patient centered care when integrating AI technologies into practice, ensuring that technological tools enhance rather than diminish the physician patient relationship.
  5. Demonstrate an understanding of how AI can support the osteopathic tenets of structure function interrelationship and the body's innate ability to heal by augmenting clinical insight and enabling more personalized, preventive care strategies.
