In this module, pediatric primary care providers will learn the basics of cannabis use intervention for adolescents.  We will focus on prevention and intervention.  In addition, we will give examples of SBIRT skills useful for pediatric primary care providers to help develop skills shown to be effective in the management of substance use disorders.    

In this module, pediatric primary care providers will learn the basics of opioid use intervention for adolescents.  We will focus on prevention and intervention.  In addition, we will give examples of motivational interviewing skills useful for pediatric primary care providers to help develop skills shown to be effective in the management of substance use disorders.   

This training is available to primary care providers registered in the Oklahoma Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health Access Program (OKCAPMAP). In this module, primary care providers will learn the basics of substance use in adolescents, screening, and intervention through asynchronous learning.  A case example will be presented to provide PCPs with a template of language and process when presented with a patient who has a substance use disorder.
